{"id":27223,"date":"2024-11-24T15:14:23","date_gmt":"2024-11-24T15:14:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ptpraxis.gr\/?p=27223"},"modified":"2025-01-25T13:24:08","modified_gmt":"2025-01-25T13:24:08","slug":"another-educational-seminar-by-pt-praxis-successfully-concluded","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ptpraxis.gr\/en\/another-educational-seminar-by-pt-praxis-successfully-concluded\/","title":{"rendered":"Another educational seminar by PT PRAXIS\u00ae successfully concluded."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mimi Marcellou and Foteini Lagari Continue the Work of Spreading Knowledge on the<strong> Pelvic Floor<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;Not just at a physiotherapy seminar, but at no other educational event have I experienced such passion for sharing knowledge and expertise, such warmth, such love for the subject matter and for people\u2014be they colleagues or patients.&#8221;<\/em> This is how one of the 12 physiotherapists summarized the experience of the two-day Specialized Pelvic Floor Seminar for physiotherapists with foundational training in this area.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Seminar<\/strong>, organized by the heads of <strong>PT PRAXIS<\/strong><strong><sup>\u00ae <\/sup><\/strong>in collaboration with Kinetics Health Education, took place on November 2 and 3 at the exemplary facilities of the &#8220;Theseus&#8221; Rehabilitation Center. It <strong>was attended by twelve physiotherapists with foundational Pelvic Floor training<\/strong>, who earned the internationally recognized certification of 14 CEUs.<\/p>\n<p>Mimi Marcellou and Foteini Lagari, heads of <strong>PT PRAXIS<\/strong><strong><sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/strong>, true to their commitment to disseminating scientific knowledge and decades of experience in the U.S. and Greece, held this seminar to advance the <strong>education <\/strong>of physiotherapists already trained in Pelvic Floor care. The focus included patient history taking, profiling, critical thinking skills, digital examination and appropriate management, rehabilitation program design, exercise prescription, and patient education. The event also included case discussions and clinical reasoning exercises.<\/p>\n<p>The seminar featured contributions from Dr. Savvas <strong>Papagrigoriadis<\/strong>, MD, MSc, FRCS (Eng), a Colorectal Surgeon, and Dr. Angelos <strong>Liapis<\/strong>, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Athens. Their invaluable insights highlighted the significance of interdisciplinary collaboration in addressing Pelvic Floor dysfunctions through conservative, pharmaceutical, or surgical approaches, tailored to each case&#8217;s severity, impact, and patient profile.<\/p>\n<p>Mimi Marcellou and Foteini Lagari expressed heartfelt thanks to these esteemed doctors for their contributions to <strong>PT PRAXIS\u2019s<\/strong><strong><sup>\u00ae <\/sup><\/strong>educational efforts. They also extended gratitude to the <strong>&#8220;Theseus&#8221; Rehabilitation Center <\/strong>for its exceptional hospitality, particularly to Mr. Antonis Doukas, Director of Therapeutic Departments, and Mr. Konstantinos Zoitos, Commercial Director of the Center. Special thanks were given to Athanasia Prentza, head of the co-organizing company <strong>Kinetics Health Education.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With this seminar, Mimi Marcellou and Foteini Lagari closed another chapter with a sense of fulfillment, having <strong>enhanced the skills<\/strong> of twelve physiotherapists who can now approach Pelvic Floor dysfunction cases with greater confidence.<\/p>\n<p>Next stop: Dubai, for a two-day training seminar on <em>Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy During Pregnancy and Postpartum<\/em> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ptpraxis.gr\/pre-postnatal-pelvic-floor-physiotherapy-training\/\"><strong>details here<\/strong><\/a>) on March 1-2, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Following that is the <em>Pelvic Floor Seminar for Physiotherapy Students<\/em> titled <strong><em>&#8220;The Critical Role of Physiotherapy in Pelvic Floor Dysfunctions&#8221;,<\/em><\/strong> scheduled for March 23, 2025, in Athens.<\/p>\n<p>Another highly anticipated event is the <em>Seminar for Midwives<\/em> titled <em>&#8220;<strong>Recognition &amp; Prevention<\/strong>: Pelvic Floor Muscle Dysfunctions During Pregnancy and Postpartum.
